I've heard from a friend that during tour concert in Sendai Jaejoong asked audience to vote by clapping their hands choosing between dance Jae and rock Jae – and preference for the rock was really apparent, very loud and overwhelming 😀 Also, judging by reviews from Jaefans, the music and performance highlights of Fallinbow concerts – what people remember the most and impressed by the most – primarily belong to rock-section: Big Revolution, Defiance, Mine, Breaking Dawn.. Of course, fans enjoy dance numbers too, it works as light entertainment – but I think if all dance songs were replaced by rock and ballads there would not be any drop in quality, fan interest and appreciation, and probably many people (like myself) would even prefer that – having more time dedicated to genres where JJ truly shines. If there was an audience voting for every song in the set-lists, I am pretty sure rock and ballads would crush pop dance. Japanese friend said that if tour concert had no rock, she would only go to one maybe, but if Jaejoong included in his Japanese concerts Korean ballads like "I Want To Ask You" and more rock like "Butterfly" or 9+1, she would go to every one of them ^^

    Friend also said it looked as if Jaejoong was surprised by how much rock was preferred when people voted by applauding .. Well, maybe he should request vox populi more often? 😉
    Maybe I am wrong but there is a strange situation. Jaejoong says he does not enjoy dancing and dance songs that much but people love it so he makes them ("On The Road" documentary). Then people (fans) say, that they enjoy anything that makes Jaejoong happy so if he wants to perform bright jumpy songs they are totally okay with it. Ha, well – seems like pop songs occupied the space not of mutual music passion of Jaejoong and his fans, but the space of mutual politeness: "sure, if you like it let's have it.. " .. "do you really like it?" .. "and you?" .. ha!

    Anyway, I hope for the remaining stops of Fallinbow tour JJ will adjust set-list to include more rock, and that in his future albums he would explore rock more ^^
    I mean, you can also make people dance and jump while rolling with rock-n-roll, rock does not equal depression or rage – there is enough diversity within this great genre 🙂

  37. Jun voice is wayy to weak to do rock songs, it doesn't matter with who he will cooperate and how much he will practise his voice do not fit alternative music at all. He is nice soft pop-rock/pop musician, but I can't call it rock.
