Up-and-coming playwright Aoto Tani (Zikanseisaku) is known for his unflinching explorations of raw emotion and the darkness of youth.
Director Keita Shirai (ONSEN Dragon) is uncompromising in his depiction of deep-seated personas.
This influential duo teamed up to deliver the story of a family with “100 family precepts,” their collapse, and rebirth.
A family that has 100 family precepts, that are supposed to help them to become a real family.
Starring Shunsuke Tanaka, Rena Takeda, Natsuki Hori (FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE), Masako Miyaji, and Keisuke Horibe, the passionate performances bring out the individual conflict from the incidents over the strange family precepts. Each family member’s conflict intersects and what they find captivates the audience.
HOME LESSON depicts any modern family that holds bittersweet feelings, sadness, and hopes.
This is a digest of a story that tells us about a strange yet familiar type of family.
[STORY]
Junior high school teacher, Daimu Ito (Shunsuke Tanaka), marries Karen Mikami (Rena Takeda). They start living together in the Mikami household which has one hundred traditional family precepts. Karen’s mother, Natsuko (Miyaji Masako), obediently adheres to the family precepts, saying that it’s the one definite thing that holds the family together. Her father, Toshizo (Keisuke Horibe), also follows the precepts, but he seems to be just going along with Natsuko. Daimu accepts the values he has encountered for the first time and tries to become a part of the family.
One day, he finds Karen’s brother Sakutaro (Natsuki Hori) being locked in his room as punishment for breaking the family precepts. When Sakutaro refuses to follow the precepts even after coming out of his room, the well-balanced Mikami family starts to crumble. Their relationships start to unravel, revealing the secrets of the Mikami family…

若者の生々しい感情と闇を抉り出す今注目の新進気鋭の劇作家 谷碧仁(劇団時間制作)。
骨太に、そして包容力をもって人間の奥底を描く演出家 シライケイタ(劇団温泉ドラゴン)。
注目の二人の初タッグで描くのは、“100の家訓”を持つ家族の崩壊と再生の物語。
100の家訓を持つ家族、その家訓に従えば、本物の家族になれるはずだった。
出演は、田中俊介、武田玲奈、堀夏喜(FANTASTICSfromEXILETRIBE)、宮地雅子、堀部圭亮。5人のキャストの熱演で、奇妙な家族の家訓を巡る事件からそれぞれの個人の葛藤が浮かび上がってきます。家族一人一人が抱える葛藤が交差した末に迎える結論は私たちの胸に深く迫ってきます。
この「ホームレッスン」は、ほろ苦くそして哀しみと希望が交差した現在を生きる私たち自身の家族を描いた物語なのです。
この奇妙だけれど身近な存在でもある家族の物語のダイジェスト映像をご紹介します。
[STORY]
中学教師の伊藤大夢(田中俊介)は三上花蓮(武田玲奈)と結婚。三上家でともに暮らし始める。そしてこの三上家の日常の中には、当たり前のように100の家訓が存在していた。花蓮の母親・奈津子(宮地雅子)は、家族が家族でいるために家訓が必要なのだと、頑なに家訓を守っている。父親である三上歳三(堀部圭亮)も家訓を守っているが、どうも奈津子に引っ張られているようだ。大夢は初めて出会った価値観(家訓)を受け入れて、家族になっていこうとしている。だがある日、家訓を破って懲罰のために部屋に閉じ込められている花蓮の弟・朔太郎(堀夏喜)を発見する。部屋から出てきても家訓に従わない朔太郎が現れたことで、三上家のバランスはひずみ始め、関係が変化していき、三上家の秘密が浮きぼりとなっていく.。。。
