  4. The timing is once again very suspicious, which makes me believe it's fabricated. However, even if it was real, it doesn't matter. Soobin is free to do what he wants, and his privacy is just as valuable as ours. Hybe Boy is right when he says the company has a reason to stay quiet for now, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that behind the scenes people are working to track this person and make an ironclad case.

  10. This is the first time I am hearing about this (which is good!)..so probably this issue must have blown up only in certain part of the internet. Additionally, sending protest trucks and mass twitter post to companies only amplifies the issue. Such actions only gives rumor more credence than necessary. Since none of the mainstream media is reporting it (at least not in West) means company is already controlling the PR, so it is normal for the company to not react instantly but rather ensure that fake rumors don't go out of hand.

    Lastly, I hope people understand why there is so much pushback on uncontrollable use of AI because of all such reasons. Until and unless there are no strict regulations on AI, we will keep coming across such fake rumors that will get harder and harder to prove and destroy people's reputation. It's an uphill battle but until then not amplifying such rumors would be the best end result.

  20. I don't think it was deepfake and I will be surprised if it was. Soobin might be a homosexual dude that enjoys in sex with multiple men. Are you the sickos peeping in his bedroom? I'm not. His sexual preferences (that I personally don't like, but what to do?), don't change at all who Soobin is – nice, cool, beautiful, talented guy. So give him a break! If you loved him this far, continue loving. If you want idols to fit your delulu idealistic world, then walk away. Guy is who he is, let him live, love and work. It is this simple.

    My prediction: he will come out in less than a year.

  23. They need a fulltime employee to scan FaceBook 24/7. It is full of deepfakes. I see it in the reels on a daily basis (of course I'ld never click on any of them. The thumbnail tells it all!) — The deepfake scandal really got into the public eye with the Johnny Somali case last year. It was not pretty especially with a female prosecutor.
