Yuzuru Hanyu (羽生 結弦, Hanyū Yuzuru, born December 7, 1994) is a Japanese figure skater who competes in the men’s singles discipline. He is a two-time Olympic champion (2014, 2018), a two-time World champion (2014, 2017), a four-time Grand Prix Final champion (2013–2016), a Four Continents champion (2020), the 2010 World Junior champion, the 2009–10 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and a four-time Japanese national champion (2012–2015). Upon winning the 2020 Four Continents Championships, Hanyu became the first and only male singles skater to achieve a Super Slam, having won all major competitions in his senior and junior career.
Hanyu has broken world records nineteen times—the most times amongst singles skaters since the introduction of the ISU Judging System in 2004. He holds the current world record for the short program, in addition to the historical world records for all three segments for the era before the 2018–19 season. He is the first man to have broken the 100-point barrier in the men’s short program, the 200-point barrier in the men’s free skating, and the 300-point barrier in the combined total score.
Hanyu is the first Asian figure skater competing in men’s singles to win the Olympic gold. At nineteen years old, he was the youngest male skater to win the Olympic title since Dick Button in 1948. He also became the first man to win two consecutive Olympic gold medals since Button’s back-to-back titles in 1948 and 1952. At the 2016 CS Autumn Classic International, Hanyu became the first skater in history to successfully land a quadruple loop in competition. He is the first men’s singles skater from Asia to win multiple World Championships.

Nathan Chen (born May 5, 1999) is an American figure skater who competes in the men’s singles discipline. He is a two-time World champion (2018, 2019), a 2018 Winter Olympic bronze medalist in the team event, the 2017 Four Continents champion, three-time Grand Prix Final champion (2017, 2018, 2019), and four-time U.S. national champion (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). Chen is the first skater to have landed five types of quadruple jumps in competitions: toe loop, Salchow, loop, flip and Lutz.
On the junior level, Chen is the 2015–16 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, 2013–14 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, and 2014 World Junior bronze medalist.

US skaters are always overscored even now that they succesfully get rid of Russians dominance.
When Hanyu retired, the World of Figure Skating died. No one watches the jump contest now with that ridiculous judging criteria. snd favoritism for Westerners.

Both skaters are talented, but when Yuzuru performs, it feels like he is expressing deep emotions. His performances are like art and poetry. In contrast, Nathan’s performances are more suited for competitions because his technical skills are impressive, which may lead him to win more awards than Yuzuru due to higher technical scores. However, Yuzuru is the complete package. He not only possesses good technique, but he also brings emotion to his performances, almost as if he is painting a masterpiece. I believe that having only strong technical skills doesn’t make someone truly great. Yuzuru feels and enjoys his art, which is why he is the G.O.A.T!

Nathan Chen's horrible costumes takes me out lol…why are you performing first-rate jumps wearing costumes from third-rate thrift stores.
Jumps are part of the story,so yuzu doesn't want to emphasize jumps. But Chen program is made for jumps,everything is for showing the jumps. And the rule is made only evaluate jumps.
GOE 4.06 for Chen's 4S? When you watch the slow he definitely toe picked that jump. Not to mention the long glides leading into the jumps.
Just remember how crazy this rivalry was…

2019のGPFは露骨なネイサンへの加点に、そんなに加点しても心は移らないよ。どんなにアンダーグレードされても、ネイサンと30ポイント差をつけられても、観客の心は変わらない。

Is it my imagination or does Nathan Chen have a longer run-up and set-up for his quads than Hanyu does? It seems to me that Yuzuru is performing more steps into his jumps than Nathan. Shouldn't that receive higher scores? (This is from a belated figure-skating fan who has just joined the crowd after Milan-Cortina 2026)😅.

У Натана еще руки находятся в каком то беспорядке вечно. Для меня абсолютно переоценённый фигурист! Который освоил лишь все прыжки!
