18. Y'know, it occurs to me that when I first heard about the Burning Sun scandal, I thought it was some celebrity mega r**e ring and such, based on how people react to it. Turns out, it's almost a nothingburger. Hilarious. Shame so many people's careers got ruined over it.

21. I really think that Korean Netizens should keep it Klassy…..get a friggin life (not keeping it Klassy) I am soooo tired of Korean Netizens being beyond psychotic. The entire challenge of Korean society is the pride of being Korean but taking every opportunity to pull someone down. I don't know Roy Kim nor have any skin in this game. But based on your video…seems like he did nothing wrong, apologized and went on to live his life. They should take ALL of that energy and point it towards Seungri – that guy is still out there doing his same stupid stuff.

Однако возникает вопрос, эти люди так же возмущаются в отношении активных выступлений группы BIGBANG? А ведь их коллега и друг оказался замешан в очень громком скандале и отсидел срок в тюрьме. Может я ошибаюсь, но ничего не слышала о громких скандалах и возмущений связанных с возвращением группы к активной концертной деятельности. Я не имею никаких претензий к легендарной группе BIGBANG, и упоминаю их лишь, как очень яркий пример влияния преступления одного человека на многих людей, которые с ним связаны.
    И ещё. Очень хорошо, если есть близкие люди и друзья, которые помогут и поддержат человека, который оступился. Эти люди нуждаются в помощи, чтобы вернуться к нормальной жизни.

25. Considering the context and his friends, it’s kind of hard to believe there was nothing more to this no matter what anyone says. He should have defended himself more in any case, because letting things sit like this for that long just leaves a bad taste that is almost impossible to erase.

When I became a fan of Roy Kim (a couple years ago) and came across his past controversy it took me about fifteen minutes of googling to find that he had been legally cleared of any involvement in the underlying Burning Sun scandal. It’s hard to understand why, after all these years, people would post nasty comments vilifying him without taking a few minutes to confirm the facts when that’s so easy to do. As for not speaking out sooner to defend himself, my guess is that he was advised by his legal team not to say anything publicly until the investigation was formally concluded given that his posting of the illicit photo, regardless of intention, was still technically a crime. He’s a wonderful talent, and I’m glad he’s been able to resume his career.

While those that were seriously involved in the b.sun scandal & got, what can inly be termed as pitiful sentences, have been left relatively alone, from what can be seen of them since. They're flaming hypocrites!!! Full of their own self importance & ridiculous standards (which, they themselves could never adhere to, mind you!). It's like they have to be angry at someone, anyone!!!

I come from a different cultural background—though from a country with a history similar to Korea’s—yet I cannot fathom the mentality of people there who tolerate those who gained power and wealth through collaboration with the Japanese, while hating those who built their fortunes through hard work and perseverance. They spy on celebrities and practically try to run their lives, dictating what they can and cannot do and whom they can date. To me, it looks like nosiness and hypocrisy—but then again, what do I know? Not my circus, not my monkeys.
