  4. I have been listening to this performance by Mr.Wataru Hisasue every day since the live transmission of this final. I am fascinated by Mr. Hisasue's careful and deep tone, which conveys his respect and sincerity for Brahms.
    What surprised me later was the fact that this was the first time he had performed this piece with an orchestra.
    Listening to the three-dimensional and expansive music created by the harmony between the beautifully clear and unwavering high notes he plays and the powerful low notes that seem to seep into the depths of my heart, I feel the joy of life surrounded by beautiful music.
    The more I listen to it, the more I like both Hisasue's performance and Brahms.

  5. Not an athletic type of performance one would typically witness in a competition. Mr. Hisasue delivers the depth and weight of life. Pure passion and commitment to music. Bravo and look forward to your artistic journey onward.

  15. 演奏を聴いていると、久末航さんの、奥行きのあるお人柄が感じられます。何回も聴きたくなる演奏です。このオーケストラのチェロやオーボエやピッコロなどの演奏にもききほれていました。久末さんはこのオーケストラと溶け合っていました。

  17. OMG If only Johannes Brahms could witness this stunning performance. I've said it before: Brahms is not for everybody. This concerto is chamber music, and both the orchestra and the soloist decided to take the achievement to the highest level. Thank you!

What a beautiful sound from this accomplished young artist, phrasing, intensity of coherent dynamics, certainly amongst the greatest renditions (Moreira-Lima, Gelber, Hough, Moravec, Leonskaya, Arrau, Richter even-without the weight of the giant's elocution of course..better than Bachauer or even Anda and certainly beyond Kantorow's in last Tchaikovsky) such poetry at 32:12 till 34: 14 as was the case in the second movement…Allegretto grazioso of pure joy! Bravissimo!

  28. After listening to the Van Cliburn competition and Aristo Sham on this concerto, this performance is just ok. Sham was enlightening.

This is a most stunning performance of Brahms 2nd I’ve ever had the pleasure to listen to- so utterly natural, passionate, deeply musical and every note resonates and breathes beauty, Brahms’ love of life itself and the reverence depth, width, height of humanity , a testament and a tribute to God to appreciate how divine and magical human beings actually are❤
    Hisae has a magic in his hands straight from his heart to make the piano sing with the most extraordinarily beautiful, organically whole
    musical integrity so completely natural in perfect alignment with the orchestra as if he and each player were ONE breathing, performing together in complete harmony with their souls devoted to Brahms’ great love of music and humanity- a true gift, greatest treat for the aching and yearning heart and soul❤

  30. 私見だけど、このブラームス２番コンチェルトは上手い人が弾くと1秒、いや1万分の１秒たりとも聴き逃したくないと思うほど集中してしまう。　久末さんの演奏はまさにそれ。　前回１位のフルネルもそうでした。　近い将来1番も是非聞いてみたい。

  33. この曲は内容も難しい曲で、ただ弾き慣れた曲で勝ちたいとかではなく、ちゃんと良い曲を選曲したのが良いと思う

    心の病気や痛みがないと弾けないくらい難しいですよね

    ミヨーか何かに精神病院行きの代物みたいな発言した人の音楽よりも、良いコンチェルト♪

  36. Mr Hisasue’s concerto performance was careful and never over-assertive. He breathed in perfect unison with the conductor and showed a humility that allowed the orchestra to shine as well. The ultimate balance between stepping forward and drawing back, and the sense of shared responsibility, was united not only in the pianist but across the whole orchestra.
    On such a world-class final stage, he showed rare mindset of choosing not to push himself to the front, but instead to convey the story of the work itself to the audience. This maturity brought the performance to its highest level.
    It stood in striking contrast to another performance of the same concerto given at the final of a different piano competition held around the same time.

  37. 初めて聴いたときは言葉を失った。

    率直に言ってブラームスは重厚長大という先入観もあり殆ど聞かずにいたが、その印象も一新される久しぶりの体験だった。

    コンクールという特殊な環境に身を置かれていた久末さんの万感の思いが色彩豊かに想起させられ、陳腐な表現だが美しい音楽に深く感動した。

    大きなコンクールでようやく審査員の方にも彼の音楽性が正しく評価されたようで本当に嬉しく思います。
