St. Gertrude's Prayer for the Dead – Frees 1,000 Souls from Purgatory
St. Gertrude's Prayer
Merciful God, from the Throne of Your Glory, look upon the poor souls suffering in Purgatory, look upon their torments, upon the tears they shed before You, hear their pleas and groans, have mercy on them, forgive their sins. For all the crimes they have committed, for the negligence they have committed in Your holy service, I offer You my most holy life, all the merits of Jesus Christ, all the penances, fasts, vigils, prayers, works, pains, Blood and Wounds, Passion and innocent Death, which Your Most Beloved Son suffered for us with the most ardent love. I beg You, in Your imploring mercy, to accept these beloved souls into the bliss of Paradise, that they may glorify You forever.
Amen.
Eternal Father, I offer You the Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in connection with all the Holy Masses celebrated today throughout the world, for the souls suffering in Purgatory, for the dying, for sinners in the world, for sinners in the universal Church, for sinners in my family, and also in my home.
Amen. The Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Under Your protection
Under Your protection
We take refuge,
Holy Mother of God,
Do not despise our petitions
in our needs,
but always deliver us from all evil adventures,
O glorious and blessed Virgin.
O our Lady,
Our Advocate,
Our Mediatrix,
Our Comforter.
Reconcile us with Your Son,
Commend us to Your Son,
Return us to Your Son.
Amen.

"Under the protection of Your mercy,
O Mother of God.
Do not reject the petitions
[that we bring to You]
in our needs,
but save us from
danger,
[You] alone are pure
and blessed."
The oldest preserved Marian prayer (3rd century).
@filipfr:Please read this everyone, I truly ask of you. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he did something that we didn't or could have done meaning he is our saviour; he rose from the dead 3 days later and we should appreciate what Jesus did for us on the cross. So I beg, please repent from your sins and turn your face to God. Believe in him, he is our father and he loves everyone equally. ( Spread the Gospel before it's too late ) Amen 🙏
Luke 6:37 states "Who am to judge another, when I myself am an imperfect man"
1st John 1:9 states "If we confess our sin, he is faithful, and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"
Please copy and paste this message to spread the gospel further, you never know how much this could impact somebodies lives.

John 14:23

Whoever loves me will keep my word,

Gospel
Matthew 7:21-29
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’
will enter the Kingdom of heaven,
but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?
Did we not drive out demons in your name?
Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’
Then I will declare to them solemnly,
‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’
“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them
will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house.
But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.
And everyone who listens to these words of mine
but does not act on them
will be like a fool who built his house on sand.
The rain fell, the floods came,
and the winds blew and buffeted the house.
And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
When Jesus finished these words,
the crowds were astonished at his teaching,
for he taught them as one having authority,
and not as their scribes.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 137:1-2, 3, 4-5, 6
R. (6ab) Let my tongue be silenced, if I ever forget you!
By the streams of Babylon
we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.
On the aspens of that land
we hung up our harps.
R. Let my tongue be silenced, if I ever forget you!
Though there our captors asked of us
the lyrics of our songs,
And our despoilers urged us to be joyous:
“Sing for us the songs of Zion!”
R. Let my tongue be silenced, if I ever forget you!
How could we sing a song of the Lord
in a foreign land?
If I forget you, Jerusalem,
may my right hand be forgotten!
R. Let my tongue be silenced, if I ever forget you!
May my tongue cleave to my palate
if I remember you not,
If I place not Jerusalem
ahead of my joy.
R. Let my tongue be silenced, if I ever forget you!
Alleluia
Matthew 8:17
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Christ took away our infirmities
and bore our diseases.

Gospel
Matthew 8:1-4
When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said,
“Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.”
He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said,
“I will do it. Be made clean.”
His leprosy was cleansed immediately.
Then Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one,
but go show yourself to the priest,
and offer the gift that Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.”
Alleluia
Matthew 8:17

Gospel
Matthew 8:5-17
When Jesus entered Capernaum,
a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying,
“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.”
He said to him, “I will come and cure him.”
The centurion said in reply,
“Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof;
only say the word and my servant will be healed.
For I too am a man subject to authority,
with soldiers subject to me.
And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes;
and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes;
and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him,
“Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.
I say to you, many will come from the east and the west,
and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven,
but the children of the Kingdom
will be driven out into the outer darkness,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”
And Jesus said to the centurion,
“You may go; as you have believed, let it be done for you.”
And at that very hour his servant was healed. Jesus entered the house of Peter,
and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.
He touched her hand, the fever left her,
and she rose and waited on him. When it was evening, they brought him many
who were possessed by demons,
and he drove out the spirits by a word and cured all the sick,
to fulfill what had been said by Isaiah the prophet: He took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.
