Returning from the Vietnam War a hero, Colonel Kim Jin Pyeong (Song Seung Heon) was well-positioned to start living the good life. As a war hero, with a powerful commanding officer as his father-in-law, Jin Pyeong stood on the brink of promotion that would allow him to spend the rest of his life in comfort and ease. With his beautiful and powerfully connected wife, Lee Sook Jin (Cho Yeo Jeong), by his side, Jin Pyong was the envy of nearly everyone on the base. But none of his success could keep the inner demons at bay.

Suffering from PTSD, Jin Pyeong struggles to reintegrate into the calm daily routine of life on the base. With a new captain under his command, Jin Pyeong tries to step into the role that is expected of him, but struggles to make the transition. Watching Captain Kyung Woo Jin and his wife, Jong Ga Heun (Lim Ji Yeon), move in next door, Jin Pyeong is struck by Ga Heun’s beauty. Falling for her almost immediately, Jin Pyeong tries to ignore his feelings for Ga Heun but the more he sees of her, the stronger his feelings become.
