First off, this isn’t even confirmed to be Mingyu. The caption itself says “looks like” because nobody can tell from the back of his head in a blurry clip. So let’s stop spreading it like it’s a fact.
Second, even if it was him, why is the automatic assumption “they’re dating”? People are allowed to have friends. Co-workers hang out. Idols have social lives outside of work too. Seeing two people having cocktails doesn’t equal a relationship.
And honestly, even if Lisa was dating someone — Mingyu or not — why would that be a problem? She’s 29 years old. She’s allowed to date, have friends, and live a normal life. The whole “idols are human too” thing only means something if we actually let them be human.
Being a fan should mean supporting her music, her career, and her happiness. It doesn’t mean policing who she talks to or deciding who she’s allowed to be seen with. If you truly like Lisa, then her personal life shouldn’t change that.
So let’s not ship people off of a 5-second back-of-the-head video. And let’s not turn friendship — or dating — into a scandal. She deserves privacy and respect either way.
