I have always been your big fan, supporting you from Ukraine. I wrote you letters, learned Japanese because of you, and truly admired your music and energy. But today, I feel deeply hurt and disappointed.
Right now, my country is suffering because of Russia’s war. My father may soon go to the front, and I don’t know what the future holds for me, my family, or my homeland. Many Ukrainians are fighting for their lives every day. And yet, you danced to a Russian song – a song from the country that is trying to destroy us.
I don’t think you meant to hurt anyone, but please, try to understand how painful this is for me and many Ukrainian fans. I can’t support you in the same way as before, knowing that you ignore the suffering of my people.
I hope one day you will understand why this matters so much.
