30. well i kinda interpreted the mv very very differently lmao. so i didn’t think of the individual scenes as they’re in chronological order. they’re obviously not. i do think it’s a love triangle. wonwoo is dating someone. mingyu and wonwoo grow distant bc wonwoo spends more time with his lover and mingyu can’t catch up to the couple (the two moons mentioned in the song). i saw the hat as wonwoo’s love for the girl. when you’re in a relationship, you tend to have things that belonged to the other person as yk a sign of love ig. giving mingyu the hat was kinda implying how wonwoo was transferring his love from the girl to mingyu. ykwim? does that make sense? the hat could mean a lot of things but the fact that it was the girl’s made me think “what if it symbolizes wonwoo’s love for the girl since it can’t really mean anything else. it cant symbolize the girl’s love for mingyu because mingyu is the one that can’t catch up. he’s the third wheeler and they don’t end up together by the end of the mv so it wouldn’t make sense. if you watch it like a movie, you kinda have to assume mingyu is gonna end up with no one bc that is what’s being implied in the earlier timeline. and it can’t symbolize wonwoo indirectly telling mingyu that the girl is his and that mingyu needs to back tf off bc giving someone something is affectionate ig. especially if you’re giving something that once held value to you, like your lover’s hat. so it must be something like wonwoo’s relationship didn’t work out or they fell out of love or something. the hat, being the last thing from his relationship, is given to mingyu , like he’s giving his love to mingyu” so that was my train of thought while i watched the member’s reaction. also throughout the mv, you can’t really tell if mingyu is looking at wonwoo or the girl but imma say we can assume it’s wonwoo bc wonwoo is always the one looking back. the only time the girl looked back was in the scene where we saw her with the hat which meant that in the scene, it was before she started dating wonwoo. also, when i say “love” i mean either romantic or platonic. like wonwoo said, you can interpret this mv as either love between friends or romantic partners. and the mv ends with the scene of them two together in the rain, implying that they’re the ones that ended up together. loved the mv fr
