Nice one, thanks!
Little Queen was already amazing. Her voice has something special that gets me every time.
It gets under your skin, and you are lost… forever! 😊
I am sorry but the legs always get me on these old performances and the boots do nothing to improve things lol but seriously the stage is where she was born to be, she was actually already performing professionally at this stage but ASH was where she learned her chops, her dad was also a performer being bassist in a punk/alt band before she was born so I guess it is in her blood
Nice reaction. That performance was a recital in which she entered a local performing arts school as scholarship students 2 years prior. At the same year she get her first 'professional' contract with entertainment company which producer of BABYMETAL Kobayashi works at, in 2010 he decided to form BABYMETAL with Su as the center point because he thinks that she has the talent but her voice is 'too loud' for mainstream pop 🤣. I recommend to check BABYMETAL – Akatsuki https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2372C5PJLM
Intresting that you've dived so deep into the fox hole already, great to see. There is so much to see from Su and the other girls.
⚡ 🌻
This is from an Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) performance.
After passing the solo singing audition, Su was admitted to ASH (with a full years scholarship) in February 2006, when she was 8 years old.
Her older sister Himeka got in on her second try in the next round.
Suzuka and Himeka were in the duo act "Tween" together at ASH.
Himeka later became one of the original members of the Idol group Nogizaka46.
She left the J-Pop/Idol business in November 2017, and is currently working as a mental health counselor and radio personality.

Theres a video suzuka at 7 years old
So sweet, thank you.
Dude!!! You went straight back past Sakura Gakuin to Actors School Hiroshima (ASH), but I love it! Nope this isn’t be beginning by about 5 years, but close enough. You’ll find an S-load under Sakura Gakuin on how all these young ladies (girls) started. I love this old stuff to no end. I especially love Sakura Gakuin, but others may be to ignorant to know what they have missed. If you want the earliest; basically photo shoot, you need to watch the Jewel Drop video from 2003 ish. Queen Su was just 5 years old and the way she thrusts her hand up to take the spotlight, you know she will be something special. You can use a simple 20 second clip. Yes I personally love the evolution of my Queen.
It's a miracle that she became a metal queen not a pop queen. Thanks Fox God.🦊
You may almost be ready for the BABYMETAL Guide done by Cryptic Misery "The helpful guide to BABYMETAL". But you should probably watch BABYMETAL Death first. 😉🤘🦊🤘
Su was born to perform. Cutest ears on the planet. One of the biggest reasons so many fans love BABYMETAL. Most have watch these amazing girls grow up. We feel like proud parents. I feel like a proud dad and I don't even have kids.
Sadly, this is one reason why BabyMetal is hated so much. They didn't start out in some kid's garage. They didn't pay their dues. You mentioned LeAnn Rimes and Britney Spears. There are others as well. Not all discoveries are found in a garage.
Ohh, didn't expect this deep dive.
The young ladies in Babymetal all have a long history in entertainment. Suzuka started at age 3 doing some some kind of professional promotion/commercial work. Yui was a child actor at age 6 and Moa started with modeling at age 8. The earliest work video of Suzuka we have is from age 5.
ASH, as others have pointed out, full name is: Actors School Hiroshima, surprisingly they are a local school in her home town does not so much teach acting, but singing and dancing. Obviously when performing you also act in some form. I'm certain they still teach that. Hiroshima is pretty darn far away from Tokyo. Tokyo is where Babymetal is and the group it came from: Sakura Gakuin. If the age is correct, then Suzuka was actually pretty regularly traveling from Hiroshima to Tokyo and back. Sometimes by train and sometimes by air. Eventually both her and her sister found work in Tokyo and her mom and the girls went to life in Tokyo. Dad and the oldest sister stayed in Hiroshima. Actually, her sister wanted to get into ASH, Suzuka sort of tagged along and tried out too and was accepted with a scholarship, but her sister was not. Her sister was accepted the next year. Their are ASH-like schools around the country, I don't know how many. I would expect less than 10, but no idea. What you watched is a performance which she was allowed to do at 1 of 2 performances each year (autumn and spring). Each age group or class had the best perform alone. Suzuka got to perform each time. Before ASH she used to perform at the mall. Like at Christmas time. It's also how one of the teachers from ASH knew about her and spotted her talent. ASH actually has a partnership with Amuse. Amuse is a talent agency, so they have actors, models, etc. and partnerships/connections with related companies/people. Anyone you might need to create a TV show or a movie or a fashion show, rock concert, etc. Yes, Babymetal origin isn't like other metal bands, but we can't say they didn't have talent to do what they do and didn't work very hard to get where they are now.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Damn, we riding in a time machine (mint flavored one?)… You'll get that reference in another Babymetal song…..Let's hope no one wink wink gets you into Sakura Gakuin, the Idol group from which Babymetal was made…. Nice that you're putting up so many vids so quickly, I need something to binge on while at work. 🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘

reaction please🤘
This was an interesting turn on "discovering" Babymetal 😀 Crazy to think this little girl would command circle pits at metal festivals years later lol
You should checkout Akatsuki live Budokan 2021. So good to see how she developed as a vocalist after a decade of singing for Babymetal.
Every day I thought about playing hide-and-seek and baseball with my neighbors at her age.😀😁😂
Her father was a bass player for an 80s band called the Hooligans. I believe there maybe a sound track of it somewhere on YT. He actually had to give up the band due to a family illness. When you see his picture next to Sumetal, you can definitely see where she got here death stare from.
By looking into Babymetal origins , you are opening up a virtually bottomless pit of material. Sakura Gakuin is where it all stated for Babymetal.
Check out Cryptic miserys channel and look for the 44 minute Babymetal guide. Well worth taking the time to watch/ react to it.

I wonder what song Suzuka's mother listened to when she was pregnant 🤔
Great stuff. This is deep dive stuff but interesting nonetheless. Uniquely for a band such as BABYMETAL we have footage of all of them from a very young age. Su shines because her incredible vocal ability was obvious from very early too. The quality, timbre and tone were all there. You can train talent such as hers but you can’t manufacture it – you have it or you don’t. Su has it by the truckload. A few years later this sweet little girl was being crucified in front of tens of thousands screaming metalheads. Life can be unpredictable.
That's Su-chan, our metal-queen: Born for the stage! Her stage-present and voice always blow me away, even back then.

Great reaction! Yeah, I always looked forward to watching Star Search when I was a kid.
Yeah "natural performer". btw Dad, she was not "aka Su-metal" yet but was called "aka fairy with big boots🌼" right?
Hopefully someone else can provide the details, but there's a story that when Su was 10 or 11 she was in a trio called "Karen Girls". Before a huge live performance, the other 2 girls were nervous & were being assured by their handlers everything would be fine. Where was Su? Taking a nap. That's confidence!
Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult #QueenSu
my Queen
Who knew that a couple of years later this little girl would begin her career leading one of the best metal bands ever. You should watch Everything You Need To Know About Babymetal to learn the history of the band. It's a fascinating story that's still being written 🦊🤘

Wow you dived off the high board down the Foxhole. Most of us Kitsunes and Megitsunes did exactly the same thing watching everything we could about them to find out at such a young age they where so super talented. 😁❤️🤘🦊🤘
This is a performance at the Actors School of Hiroshima, that's renowned for having breed a lot of great mainstream japanese performers. Suzuka had all the eyes on her and was considered the best in her promotion, she probably was pointing to a great Pop-rock career, but we stole her for Heavy Metal xD
It's Time….

Do It!
Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
She was super cute…still is
Nice reaction
No wonder Koba-Metal (the manager) decided to start a band with Su as the center
That's pure talent right there that is!
Nice reaction. As you mentioned there are many kid talent shows but very few go on to be actual artist. Lucky for us Su is one of those who stay in the music. One of the things I always liked about her singing is she doesn't go fishing for notes. She hits them dead on. And all these years later she still sings that way. An impressive young lady. Makes it easier to understand when the producer of Babymetal got to hear her sing. He was so impressed he decided to make her the lead and build Babymetal around her. Also, as kawaii as Yui and moa are and good dancers. They became part of Babymetal because their voices were compatible with Su's. For me this really stands out on the last album and now on their new release Divine Attack. At first, it's hard to notice Moa is singing. She's so close to sounding like Su. A beautiful thing for the producers. Since Moa can do so much more of the backing tracks. Instead of making Su sing it again for the recordings. Now back to this performance. A big contrast between Su-metal and the Kawaii Suzuka Nakamoto. And yet you can see in those eyes there's something more there. Mikikio Babymetals choreographer has said that Yui and Moa act different on stage. While Su is a different person on stage. Koba their producer has reflected this statement as well. But about the three of them. How on stage they become so different he is afraid of them. Athletes talk about putting on a game face. Babymetal definitely have there's. And here we can see just hints of Su's. Watching Babymetal in the early years does make one feel like that proud parent. How could you not? Especially when we know how it turns out for them. You named a few artists who could understand what it is like to be a child star. Lucky for Su she's had Moa by her side for a long time. Nice to have somebody to help you through the tough times. The members of Babymetal have been good clean kawaii fun folks to watch. and have done so far nothing to be ashamed of. A rare thing these days. Just another amazing achievement by the members of Babymetal.
it's good to checkout their origins but I must repeat you need to checkout CrypticMisery "A Beginners Guide to Babymetal" it's a 43 minute long video that will explain everything you need to know (well the most important things you need to know) moving forward down the Fox hole and gives a better idea and explanation of the girls origin, cause just watching past performances doesn't explain anything
😌😌😌🤘
Wow, you have contracted the virus quickly. This is some advanced fan stuff you are dipping into already. 🙂
This song is not something I would listen to on a daily basis, but I will say that the chorus is very beautiful!
you should do a reaction to her singing "No Rain No Rainbow"
Please react more Babymetal live performance & Wagakki live performance & Sakura Gakuin
Yes, Su-chan is a perfectionist and practices alot for her passion. At this time, she hated dancing. The love for it came later on. She was very young here, not 11 as the title indicates. As others have mentioned, this was before Karen Girls and Sakura Gakuin. And yes, her voice already had a commanding performance even at that age.
Trivia: One of the Avengers for Babymetal, Riho Sayashi, was also in ASH the same time Su-chan was.
In your last BM reaction video, I was going to suggest you watch one of Suzuka's performances when she was younger, and here the video popped up today. Great choice and dive into the foxhole. This video was at one of the performance competitions with her classmates at the Actors School Hiroshima where they are all expected to perform various acts as a test. Su-chan and Riho-chan were peer rivals.
I also concur that you should watch the Babymetal guide, it will be time well spent.
Oh no! You've opened the door!
Sakura Gakuin is now beckoning you, where Babymetal first started.
Su was also a part of Karen Girls, before SG

she is the one for THE ONE❤️
BABYMETAL FOREVER🦊🦊🦊
LOVE FROM INDIA🇮🇳
Regarding Star Search: This wasn't something this way. IIRC this was at one of the regular (every half-year, I believe) performance shows at the Actors School of Hiroshima, which Suzuka was attending back then.
Next: No Rain No Rainbow Legend S live

Baby SU !! !!
As a major Babymetal fan, I was ecstatic to recently add "Fly to Future" by Karen Girls into my CD collection. Young Suzuka (I think she was the youngest member the group) is wonderful. To songs to check-out are "Over the future" and "My wings." Karen Girls made music for anime, and you can still feel the anime aspect in Babymetal's music.
ACTOR'S SCHOOL HIROSHIMA 2008 AUTUMN ACT(2008.9.21) She was 10 years old.
Ha, good stuff, right? I am pleasantly surprised you got to it so fast. When I saw it recommended, ( I can't remember who it was that recommended it) I knew you would love it. It is a definite treat. Su is a Queen for a reason!
