Ponpon Chen is a 23 year-old and has been studying Jazz from many of the greatest jazz guitarist and vocalist here in the states. She was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Her multitalented background is in jazz guitar, vocally trained in the Jazz tradition, scats and has a lovely storytelling talent. Some of her influences come from some of the greats Ella Fitzgerald, George Benson, and Chet Baker. Ponpon has been performing since 12.

  29. Ponpon and her group are fantastic. It's a shame the video and audio aren't any better because this video actually sounds much better in person. As a jazz drummer who has been playing this style since the 60's, I can assure you this is wonderful. Unfortunately, we have to hear as much of the audience as we do of the musicians.

  36. She's Oh So tasteful in her playing and her 'Style'. I feel like I'm thrown back to the post-war yrs of the late '40s to early '50s. No stupid Blue Hair or septum ring. So refreshing and what a lady.
