  3. I just love the character of Seolhyun in this series. She's not pushy and she is a strong woman. Not your typical vulnerable leading woman. I just had a huge heartache over the ending I kinda foresee the ending however I am not prepared with the ache it has given me. From episode 1 to 16 it gave me nothing but tears however the story is so good I couldn't stop their lines is so relatable and quote worthy, the family bond, the friendship the love for country almost everything is freaking good and it is something that you must follow and watch…But their love story is sooo freaking tragic, specially the "I'll come back to you" and "I'll be waiting for you" lines ruined me and my system. They knew. They knew! They just fucking knew that that will be the last time…more rants to come. This drama is so good.

  9. Man, most korean drama endings nowadays are either up in the air without certainty(looking at you netflix series) or sad like these. I honestly thought at least they’d let these two have a happily ever after. Drama’s need a new tag for viewers, fucking heartbreaking. So we’d be prepared and not get our hopes up

  16. Would LOVE for this show to miraculously have a season two. Like one where Hwi actually didn't die after all. I mean, tons of other characters "died" throughout but weren't dead, and we never saw Hwi's grave….

  18. So upset with this ending… very painful to watch plus the story could have lasted another 16 episodes…. Otherwise the casting, the acting are fantastic, the story as well (but for this stupid ending thank you). This is fiction but such characters have existed… Korea has such a tragic history, brave brave people…

  28. I love Yang Se Jong's acting so much in this scene. He really looks like he is ten years older compared to the beginning of the drama… He makes Hwi look so mature and so vulnerable at the same time that he really breaks my heart.
    I also love him in the other scene he shares with Seolhyun, when Hwi says goodbye to Hui Jae. I feel so bad for Hui Jae, who lost such a kind and beautiful man.
    The chemistry between Se Jong and Seolhyun is also superb in this last episode.

Imagine if he had married Yeon that’s the only plot this drama is missing if she didn’t die 😤😤 there’s no way he was that devoted to her after her death as a sister 😭 even if he was around other women or got everything he wanted would Yeon still be his soulmate or not? & when pple say he realised he always loved her after her death is that ‘family love’ or ‘true love’s?

  38. Just finished this drama and cried my eyes ball out. This is such a tragic love story. I also cried a lot in this scene. Hwi and Hui Jae had already known that they could not be together till the end, many scenes shown that. Hwi knows that he can't have a happy ending with Hui Jae when he said that she would always be in his dream till last breath 😢😢😭😭 and Hui Jae is always willing to wait for him despite knowing that he may never come back. Seon Ho, Hwi and Hui Jae i really want the three of them to be together. I feel so sad for Hui Jae that she's only person who alives

  39. They should have given us one scene where Seo Hwi will complain to Hui Jae ( burst out all his emotions and say he's tired of fighting )

  40. "Looking back, even all those times that felt like a nightmare will be remembered as a happy dream because of you. I could get through it thanks to you"… They're like a married couple in their last scenes… Their love story's so beautiful and poetical…
