The thoughtful things Captain Ri does for Se Ri is more romantic than anything. Buys her things she needs or wants. He makes mistake of unscented candle, Se Ri has been trying to be brave but the candle broke the dam and when she was embarrassed for crying in front of him he put out the candle to help save her dignity, then the SCENTED candle in the market, the bike ride, tying her hair up, buying coffee beans and made her a cup of coffee from scratch, the looks he gives her when she gives everyone a reward except him, but he gets a tomato plant. Whoever wrote this story is a romantic at heart for sure. Captain Ri doesn’t declare his love for her, he shows it, although he has a fight inside himself….declare his love and keep her with him, but she would be in danger. That would be a very hard decision for anyone to make. It’s out of love he sends her home but not before he grabs her and kisses her goodbye. Good Lord….that was so beautiful and sad. Tissue after tissue. This is the most beautiful story I have ever seen and I’m 85.
