초록빛이 물든 하늘,
언제나 살짝 열려 있는 화장실 문,
물어뜯지 않게 된 손톱··· 등

주체를 잃은 사랑일지라도 습관은 영원히 곁을 맴돈다.
이미 나의 일부가 되어 버린 사랑을 벗어날 수 있을까.

나의 햇살이었고 온 세상이었던 그 사랑 곁에서
나는 달이 되어, 별이 되어 여전히 궤도를 돈다.

전하지 못할 말을 홀로 곱씹으며,
먼발치에서 나는 오늘도 돌고, 돌고, 돈다.

[‘적재’의 말.]

원곡의 분위기를 최대한 해치지 않는 선에서, 이 곡이 지닌 특유의 우울함을 이제 막 자신의 이야기를 꺼내기 시작한 한 배우의 독백처럼 풀어내고자 노력했습니다.
가사가 담고 있는 의미와 단어 사이의 숨, 그 깊이가 어디까지 닿아 있는지는 아직도 잘은 모르겠으나, ‘이런 음일까? 이런 진행일까?’ 하는 질문을 끊임없이 던져가는 작업이었습니다.
태양빛에 반짝이는 행성들의 소리를 어쿠스틱 악기들로 표현해 보고자 했고, 세정 씨의 호흡에 함께 숨쉬는 듯한 느낌을 받으셨으면 합니다.

Love at times, surpasses the emotion and becomes a habit.
Waking up and making the bed,
A message left on the way home,
An earphone left out on one side,
Bowls neatly stacked in the cupboard,
Orange juice,
Walking along the Han River on a fine day,
Skies tinged with green,
An always open door to the restroom,
Fingernails long since left unbitten… And more

Even if the object of one’s love has been lost, the habits orbit forever.
Can I really escape a love that has long since become a part of me?

By the side of my love, once my sunshine, my entire world
I become the moon and stars, continuing in orbit around them.

Reflecting alone on words that can no longer be said,
From a distance I continue to spiral, spiral, and spiral today.

[JUKJAE’s Words.]

While attempting to not ruin the atmosphere of the original song, we tried to reinterpret the track’s signature sorrow as that of the monologue of an actor who just began telling their story.
How deep the meaning behind the lyrics and the breaths between the words reach still remain a mystery, and as such the production process was a constant back-and-forth of “Is this the right tone? Is this how we progress here?”
Taking in how we attempted to express the sounds of the glistening planets with acoustic instruments, we hope you can feel as if you’re inhaling and exhaling in sync with SEJEONG’s breaths.
