Snow Man・目黒蓮が、10月スタートのTBS日曜劇場『ザ・ロイヤルファミリー』（毎週日曜よる9時）に出演することが9月3日に発表された。主演は妻夫木聡。目黒は物語の鍵を握る重要な役どころを担い、日曜劇場初出演となる。 　原作は早見和真の同名小説。競馬の世界を舞台に、夢を追い続けた大人たちが家族や仲間との絆で奇跡を紡いでいく20年間を描く。主人公の税理士・栗須栄治を妻夫木が演じ、佐藤浩市、松本若菜、沢村一樹、黒木瞳、小泉孝太郎、安藤政信、高杉真宙、津田健次郎、吉沢悠ら豪華キャストが名を連ねる。 　目黒の役どころは放送まで明かされないが、公開されたビジュアルはこれまでのイメージを覆す姿で話題を呼んでいる。演出は『アンナチュラル』『MIU404』などを手がけた塚原あゆ子。人と競走馬が共に夢を追った20年間を描く情熱のドラマに期待が高まる。
