GFriend is a South Korean girl group formed in 2015 by Source Music. The group consists of six members: Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji. The group officially debuted on January 15, 2015 with their first mini album Season of Glass. GFriend received several Best New Artist awards in 2015 and has received much public attention since their debut despite being from a small company. GFriend is also the first girl group to be interviewed by the Grammy Mini Masterclass, an interview series hosted by the Grammy Museum’s Prudential Experience Center, where artists, music industry personnel, and musicians talk about the influence of music on young people.
