Once Upon a Time in High School: The Spirit of Jeet Kune Do (Korean: 말죽거리 잔혹사) is a 2004 South Korean drama/Fight film. The background of the film is set in a high school in South Korea, 1978. The original Korean title literally means “cruel history of Maljuk street” and one of the filming locations was the present neighborhood of Yangjae-dong, Seocho District in Seoul.

  1. This was a really good fight scene. In the movie his idol was Bruce Lee and he tried to train like Bruce and prepare himself, but you can see it's not really the same in a real fight. A lot of sloppy technique and just all out fighting for his life. There's SOME things there, but it's not 'clean' the entire time. And the camera angles aren't SHIFTING/SNAPPING 24/7 and jerky, much like Hollyweird does with fight scenes. 90% of the time in Hollyweird movies you can barely tell wtf is going on. It's just, "OOOH COOL! WOW, HE SURE SHOWED HIM!" Showed him what? You saw nothing.

  2. the set looks chinese, the people looks chinese, even the nunchucks is something you see in chinese movie, so when they speak korean it threw me off a little bit.

  3. Sadly in some school when you fight bullies like this they will come for you the next day until they get you. Basically what I'm saying is you need to form a gang or in a gang to fight after the fight.
