  2. Did you have to know Japanese to go? I want to start a beginners course here in April 2014 but I only know very basic Japanese. I worry I won't be able to communicate with the teachers. Any advice would be great 🙂

  13. About how long does it take to reach n2 here? Some schools seem really tough and expect it within 3-5 months, but I wonder if it's really that simple or if the information sticks long term instead of a bunch of minor lessons and test prep. I'm thinking about the 1-2 year program, but apartments in Tokyo are very expensive @_@

  24. So you can basically go to Japan just to study japanese..??…i didnt know that, i thot i needed to learn japanese to apply for student visa itself.

  28. Shin Okubo is also walkable to Shinjuku and Red Cross Japan and it has late night restaurants that operate into 2-3am. It has a variety of foreign cuisines like that of Korean, Thai, etc

  29. I've always wanted to go to Japan and learn the language bt the main issue is accommodation. Most people can't afford to live there for 6 months or more. You'd probably need at least 30-40k before going which is kinda crazy.
