  1. I stopped watching this coz of the ending, i now go straight to the ending now if it doesnt go the way i think,i leave it alone,im sick of investing my time on dramas where the writers derail the ending😭😭🤧

  2. Spoilers This ending made no sense. They went into long distance mode when she's traveling the world as a fencer and he's international reporting in New York – seems like a reasonable time for a breakup. Nope. they long distance it. Then he's coming back to be a new anchor in Korea. She plans to coach and stuff in Korea. Seems like the perfect time to get together because they are destined soul mates, right? Nope. they break up then. For no reason that anyone could find. Many aspects to this story are great, like the whole rivals to besties arc. But this gave me a headache.

  3. everything talking about how they should have ended up together but i honestly think it’s a very realistic ending, realistic in the sense that not every beautiful and promising love stories have a happy ending

  4. WAIT A DAMN MINUTE HE SAID CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING?! GUYS DIDNT HE CONGRATULATE HER ON HER WINING CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE😭😭

  5. Early into the drama, I knew that the two leads would not end up together so I couldn't bring myself to watch the ending. But when, I did, I understood why it had to end that way.

Both of them were in transitional periods of their lives. Yi Jin especially had to cope with newer and bigger responsibilities, and he didn't know how to seek support from Hee Do. Hee Do tried her best to work through her own childhood pain from being abandoned by her mom, but ultimately, she knew that she needed someone who can be present in her life. Their decision to break up was both mature and immature.

If she had waited for Yi Jin to adjust and to learn to reach out, they could have been together. If Yi Jin had learned to share more of his struggles with Hee Do, they could have worked it out. Yet the writers wanted to show that this isn't what always happens in real life.

I know from experience how devastating it is to feel abandoned by a person who you know loves you, but who couldn't seem to make room for you in their life. In the moment, waiting feels forever and fruitless, and moving on seems to be the only way to breathe. So it was mature for them to break up, because both Hee Do and Yi Jin were aware of their own issues and incapacities. Yet, it was also immature of them, to not try and allow time to help them work through their issues.

Overals, this ending resonated so personally with me, because it's parallel to my experience with my first boyfriend. Our relationship lasted 8 years, then I had to choose to move on. Years later, when he found out that I was getting married, he congratulated me. That was the first and last time we spoke since the break up.

First loves are passionate, intense, and chaotic in real life. They're also not the end of the world. While I cried at the ending of this series, I can believe that Hee Do found love that she needed and deserved–because I did, with my husband 😁

  6. I don’t know why people are making it seem so tragic. This is one of the most mature dramas I’ve watched. When people say love is about timing, this is a spot on example of that. And the FL living well and with a daughter is a way of showing the audience of how she is past that time in her life but the emotions in their eyes is a promise of remembering forever as a happy memory. The ML has also overcome his traumatic past due to her and is an amazing and stable adult. This is how our young love should be❤❤❤❤ the best love story is still Romeo and Juliet and they both die together. So living after loving, even without your love is also Gods gift. ❤❤

  7. I was Soo disappointed 😔 They didn't have a happy ending . Even if it were separate. They ended sad

  8. They could have fight for their destiny😢
In spite of their problem, profession, distance and time they could have overcome it
    It traumatized me😢
