There are some theory about the story, but I have my own too, this is only my own theory and opinion please don't come at me, if u know rise of the guardians movie the characters are jack frost,santa clause, Easter bunny,tooth fairy,mr sandman and the villain the Boogeyman.. mr sandman is the sweet and happy dreams while boogeyman is the nightmare who feeds on people's fear he drew stronger every time people fear him while sandman he's turning people nightmares into happy dreams by the use of his magic sands, there's a brief moment when sandman disappeared bec his power becoming weak, dreams turned into nightmares and Boogeyman become stronger but at the end they defeated him with the help of the children who believes in happy dreams and make sandman comeback,he becomes stronger and defeat Boogeyman, well both sandman and Boogeyman become nightmares and both are afraid to be forgotten..hehe just sharing my thoughts
