2. The Korean entertainment industry almost imploded overnight. The CCP banned Kpop and dramas in the mid-2010s. They by far were paying the largest amount for distribution rights. Japan was a distant second. The US was barely on the map more of a cult following.
   Then, Netflix dipped their toes. The amount they were paying while large for Korean standards was tiny for them. It's was basically a near risk free bet. They paid $5.6M for Man to Man which was near a record. Just for reference, Marco Polo cost $10M an episode, lol.

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN: I watch it in CD back the day when i was in middle school ahh i was so immersed in that drama i actually ask an aunt of mine to bring an original cassette from Myanmar during her trip …….i still have it 😅😅….i will show my kid in future😂 thats your mom first kdrama she watched…..till today if i wana cry someday i would play it and cry out 😊
