32. This is the rare song that feels relatable both when you're struggling and when you're doing well. And very few artists could capture it as well as Taeyeon does.

34. the tracklist arrangement in the repackaged album for the first three songs was brilliant in setting the tone of the album, as it tells a story in itself. This was the first song, which conveyed positivity in darkness, and trusting in herself. The next song (My Tragedy) however, throws the listener headfirst into despair, describing herself in darkness. The third song (Here I Am) lays down her bare feelings, almost in a helpless state, pleading for help by her saying "here i am" in the chorus repeatedly. this was by far the most ominous sounding song in the three. it felt to me like she is aware of the state that she's in, so she sings Dear Me as a reminder for herself when she eventually falls into that undesirable state, that things will be okay again. My Tragedy and Here I Am represents the dark state that she eventually falls back into.

    now that i think about it, the story continues into the fourth and fifth songs as well. the fourth song (Spark) is describing a fire growing inside herself which grows and eventually allows her to fly, which can be taken as a phoenix coming back from the dead, or escaping the dark place. i take this as taeyeon finding a source of strength or Purpose (actually the album title) to fight on in life, which allows her to rise and fly away. the fifth song (Find Me) describes her flying free high in the sky towards that Purpose, and calling for others to "don't stop flying until you find me". basically saying, i've found my purpose, i want everyone to find theirs so that they may fly towards them.
