  1. Close your eyes, turn the volume down and dream. Beautiful. This is Oct. 2017 and I have only recently discovered this wonderful singer via Jazz fm who played her version of "Better than anything" which completely captivated me. I have concocted my top 20 records (very difficult, you try it!) and at the age of 81 have included it in the list. She died so young but as I have discovered her, so hopefully, many others will. Come on, close your eyes etc…

  2. This is November 24 2017 and I have just taken my own advice! Reclined my computer seat, put a blanket round my legs, feet up, closed my eyes and listened. Marvellous. I now feel so relaxed and stress free. having had an extremely busy morning, sorting out banking and tax problems, this is just what was needed. I can face the rest of the day trouble free. Wish Irene could have known that she would still be appreciated so long after her passing. Love her material so much.

  3. Clint Eastwood introduced me to this wonderful singer when featuring her in his film " Bridges of Madison County ". Thanks Clint.

  4. Whenever I get stressed out, I rely on Irene. I lie back with eyes closed and absorb this wonderful voice that I so recently discovered. Just done it. Sept. 11, 2018. Feeling so relaxed and r3efreshed. Thank you Irene. LOVE YOU.

  5. What did I just listen to??? Wasn't expecting anything, but definitely got more than what I have in awhile. Thanks for this share–saved as a favorite

  6. Ella Fitzgerald is the best voice I've ever heard. Sarah Vaughn is 2nd. Though it's really a tie.

  7. Hadn't really heard her (or was clear whether I was hearing HER before. A most wonderous voice. But also mood, soul, style… This recording is a true gift in my life.

  8. 派手さよりしっとりとバラッドをピアノのバックで紡ぎだす、今聴いても新鮮。静謐な夜に一人で聴きます。

  9. If you ever get a chance, check out her debut recording with Maynard Ferguson on "boy with lots of brass…" where she lays down "This Song is You" at 23 in one incredible take; total ease and comfort in front of such a dynamic band.

  10. Never heard of this singer, but I like her voice, and will be back to hear this again! A couple of songs in this selection are favorites, and she does them justice, very nice!
