  1. Break My Heart Myself Lyrics

    [Intro: Yeji, Ryujin]
    ITZY
    Bebe, yah

    [Verse 1: Bebe Rexha]
    Hello, my name is Stevie
Actually, I'm lying, it’s really Bebe
It's the meds, they make me really sleepy
Klonopin, my friend, yeah, she numbs the feeling
    My doctor upped my dosage
My mom felt bad, so she sent me roses
Without it, I feel really hopeless
And 5.7 of Americans know it

Rina Sawayama “This Hell” Official Lyrics & Meaning | Verified

    [Pre-Chorus: Bebe Rexha]
    Woah-oh-oh, I'm living and I’m dreaming
    Trying to stay even, oh

    [Chorus: Bebe Rexha]
No, I don't need your help
To make me sick, to make me ill
    I don't need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself
    I don't need your help
    Getting off of this carousel
    I don't need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself

    [Verse 2: Yeji]
Some days feeling like a misfit
Sometimes I might make a mess
But okay, I'm doing my best
’Cause I still wake up everyday
Might need to take a vacation
To clear my mind, see new places
    Issues won’t fit suitcases
    So I'm gonna be okay-ay-ay-ay

    [Pre-Chorus: Bebe Rexha, Yeji]
    Woah-oh-oh, I’m living and I'm dreaming (Dreaming)
Trying to stay even, oh (No) (Even)
Woah-oh-oh, I'm draining for no reason (Reason)
Apologize, no feelings, oh (Feelings, oh)

    [Chorus: Bebe Rexha]
No, I don't need your help
To make me sick, to make me ill
    I don’t need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself
    I don't need your help
    Getting off of this carousel
    I don't need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself

    [Bridge: Bebe Rexha, Ryujin]
    Woo-hoo, woo-hoo, woo-hoo
'Cause I can break my heart myself
    There's a jumper on
    Hollywood and the 101
And I'm scared, I could be that one
    But I'm not (ITZY)
Sometimes, I think I could use some help
Sometimes, I think that I'm better than anybody else
Back and forth, in and out of my shell
'Cause I can break my heart myself

    [Chorus: Bebe Rexha, Ryujin]
    I don't need your help
To make me sick, to make me ill
    I don't need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself
    I don't need your help
    Getting off of this carousel
    I don't need anybody else
'Cause I can break my heart myself

  2. You know they're on another level when they use teleportation in their choreo

  3. Hope she'll try a new concept for her next solo performance. Itzy members should be given more opportunities to perform outside of the group

  4. My interpretation:

That’s about bipolar disorder. Yeji is depression and Ryujin is manic. Just bare with me here, it will make some sense (I hope).

Right in the beginning with the “fingers” dance they’re hinting to the audience, although they may look like two individual people, they’re not… They’re half’s of a single personality.

They entangle and are pushed apart in moments of the choreo, trying to “protect” one another or just stay together, even knowing they can’t… That’s why for the most part when one of them is dancing the other is pushed aside, one of them MUST take control most of the time.

And look at Ryujins expression when there’s a twist in control, she’s so freaking good at portraying manic.

Also the lyrics when Yeji is dancing to “Today, it went really well, I didn’t wake up in a panic spell, It was fine, even tho I fell deeper and depper in a MANIC HELL” and there’s she disappears in the crowd of dancers and we have Ryujin again. SO CLEVER.

And the colors. The room is half white, like a hospital and so empty. Yeji is using gray, the most depressing color ever. She kinda “belongs” to this side of the set although she can cross eventually, mostly when they’re both in the set, that’s were they dance right in the line or really close to it. Ryujin’s side it’s BRIGHT YELLOW, if this doesn’t scream manic symbolism, I don’t know what does.

My interpretation is that in this moments they’re crossing or going right over the line, they’re trying to coexist somehow. But it’s nice to notice, on the point they run to opposite sides, where each one goes to…

At the end it’s like Ryujin is scared. She literally looks to Yeji while the music is saying “but I’m scared” and shakes her head like she doesn’t want to do something, but Yeji just hold her hand firmly, with sharp determination in her face and pulls her quite strongly.

Then is like they try to integrate themselves for one last time, but that doesn’t go quite well, or they were actually trying to gain control one last time, where Yeji kicks Ryujin away.

So the very end can go two ways… I’m pretty sure Ryujin agrees to a mutual decision to unalive themselves. But also could mean Yeji (the depression) ultimately won the “argument” and Ryujin just went with it.

The chills I got from that “heart” beeps going silent and the dancing crew just falling , knees to the ground, dressed black, heads down. Guys, that’s a funeral, I can’t be convinced otherwise.

A lot of innuendos and so complex, I loved the theme so much and they’re top notch performances for sure.

  5. 1:45 the best part. you're welcome

(Also you can really tell the difference in Ryeji's dance style if you watch this part and compare how they do it)

  6. The company should let them upload dance covers in their own channel. Still hoping that Ryujin will upload a dance video that she choreographed herself. It might become a dance challenge and will help with her popularity.
