  25. Well Sawashiro Miyuki is definitely my favorite VA, no contest she is amazing. Her role as Inaba, Seo and Celty completely blew me away. On the other hand Sakamoto Maaya voices Shinobu, my all time favorite character. Sakamoto Maaya's stellar performance was definitely a part of that. Voicing Shinobu is no easy feat considering the complexities of the character. She talks in somewhat of an old dialect because Shinobu learned Japanese 500 years ago when she came to medieval Japan. She has an odd style of talking because Shinobu is a human turned oddity, she was also revered as a God for some time. She is also one of those 500 year old little girl characters so her voice should sound young. All of this is already complex but Shinobu also physically transforms a few times during the series. You see her at ages 8, 10, 17, 29 in different arcs iirc. Also Shinobu has insane character development throughout the series. Her relationship with Araragi is extremely complicated. Until I watched Kizumonogatari movies (released 2016) I was not able to deduce what happened between them. You will have some idea because of the way the two interact but specifics are so important that sometimes it doesn't make sense to the viewer.
