He seemed to have a clear concept throughout the first, second, and third preliminary rounds, showing that he is an outstanding pianist in every aspect.
👏👏👏
I wish we could see something more complex, where pianists also used their toes to play more keys to add complexity, and we shifted how pedals were played to the knees or butt.
It's hard to judge people when everyone has pretty much maxed out their piano potential without going above and beyond by incorporating their toes.
The nuances he translates into sounds, tears me up. Bravo Kevin Chen💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
ありがとうございます😊🌈✨🕊💖

Beautifully played, Kevin! Looking forward to the Concerto and hopefully a top 3.
Love you, Kevin Chen ❤️ Your playing was absolutely beautiful — every note was filled with heart and sincerity. Thank you for sharing such wonderful music! 🎶✨
And the winner is…
Winner! Undisputed
I was in the hall and his tone was unbelievably clear, not a trace of muddiness. It was obvious his sound quality was on a completely different level from the other pianists. Everyone around was completely mesmerized. The Polish grandma next to me even started crying during his Ballade. His Sonata was the most beautiful I’ve ever heard, and I couldn’t sleep afterwards because I was still in shock.
Betting on him making top 3..
So beautiful!!
夜中でリアルタイムで聴けなかったけど、素敵すぎる演奏🥹✨
ファイナリスト進出、おめでとうございます!!!
Honestly, the performance lacked musical flow and felt somewhat flat and stiff. The Mazurka didn’t quite capture its unique charm, either. Still, I admire his bravery in choosing a repertoire that challenged him, even if it exposed more weaknesses than strengths.
KEVIN the pianis in the World…Great Kevin, you increidible.❤👏👏👏👏
His piano is different from that of any other pianist.
There are sounds in his playing that cannot be heard from others.
He makes me aware that every note written in the score carries its own meaning.
Although it’s a piece I thought I knew, it feels new…as if it were being improvised before my eyes. The Largo was absolutely amazing.
W Balladzie 6 błędów, w Sonacie 7. Tianyao ma lepszą technikę i większy potencjał.
People who say this guy lacks musicality are actually racist and delusional, I GUARANTEE YOU if you turned his skin color white and changed his name to a Polish name HE WOULD BE THE WINNER WITHOUT a DOUBT!!! I am sick of people judging his playing and dismissing it as "robotic" or "technically perfect, but dry", profiling him as the stereotypical Chinese pianist.
Może wygrać.
Another winning performance and his best round yet. Kevin is the clear favorite to win this competition. Best Sonata and Polinaise(from round 2) of the competition imo. Looking forward to his performance of the Concerto in the Final.
Rooting for him! His playing is incredibly subtle and secure. I wasn’t a fan of his ballade to be honest but everything else was great (from R1-R3)
He seems to engage with the score without unnecessary expression.
This performance will be appreciated by experts.
will be a winner
So beautiful and touching! tears from my eyes through my screen
Magic, po prostu magia.
I can not stop listening to you, Kevin. You’re magic. No other contestants can touch my heart with their music as you do. If you won’t be selected as #1, I will never watch another Chopin competition ever again . Rooting for you ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Every piece of music resonated with an exquisite sophistication and impeccable quality. As a world-class pianist, I sincerely hope you continue to grace the world with your profound and timeless artistry.

A
I thought his performance of Piano Sonata No. 3 was meticulous and subtractive, with a slightly subdued sense of passion.
The audience's reaction after his performance said it all.
Congratulations on advancing to the finals!
A polished and interesting view. Lots of A. Rubinstein lines. Anything new?
I feel like he is having his moment
Some people in the audience looked very displeased… that confirms it. He's a serious contender. The whole performance was magical!
His ballade was robotic
