Bon Appetite's first episode gives me Romancing the Stone vibes – funny. I like Beyond the Bar too.
Your reminiscing about electric typewriters, brick dictionaries, white out, etc was hilarious— I drafted my college papers by hand and then transcribed them with my electric typewriter onto erasable paper (I think it was called onion paper or something like that)…we thought it was a godsend at the time because it avoided the need for white out 😅 On the Kdrama front I finished Black Out, which I’d been wanting to watch but could only recently access through Netflix Asia with a VPN 😠 I wanted a bit more development of the character played by Kim Bo-ra (one of my faves), but thought it was terrific overall — it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, all of the actors really brought it (Byun Yo-han really showed his acting prowess), and I loved the bromance with Ko Jin’s character! Also watched What Comes After Love, which I thought was beautifully done — and was my intro to Kentaro Sakaguchi ☺️
