In this episode of Irene’s health journey, her long-awaited rituximab (Ruxience) infusion for membranous nephropathy was unexpectedly canceled after a frightening reaction to the pre-medications. Shortly after receiving IV pre-meds, Irene’s blood pressure crashed to 50/39, prompting a call to paramedics.
Thankfully, her vitals slowly improved, and she explains what happened after the medical team stabilized her. The infusion will be rescheduled soon, bringing Irene one step closer to recovery.
