K-pop child stars often pay a devastating price, but Kim Yoo Jung’s story reveals a darkness few have survived. From her mother uploading her photos at age 4 without her consent to learning the Korean alphabet through acting scripts, her childhood was sacrificed for an industry that showed little mercy.

The shows were supposed to showcase her talent, but instead became platforms for exploitation. While she faced relentless criticism, adult co-stars like Kim Soo Hyun crossed disturbing boundaries—making inappropriate comments about “meeting her as partners” when she was just 13 and he was 24, touching her inappropriately on set, and creating such discomfort that she eventually cut all contact with him.

With new evidence surfacing, many are now reexamining her traumatic journey: rushed to hospitals with stress-induced shock, forced to apologize for leaning on one leg while secretly battling hypothyroidism, and narrowly escaping a kidnapping attempt at her elementary school. How did a child facing such dangers continue performing with a smile?

The answers may be more shocking than you remember. Join us as we break down the full story behind the child star whose suffering changed everything.

  1. Thank you for doing this video of yoo jung.. the most talented actress of her generation….❤❤❤

  2. I feel like if you are really beautiful in Korea.. They will build you up but wait in the wings like Hyena's to tear you down.. Look at what they did to Song Hye Kyo, Cha Eun Woo, Park bo Gum.. its absurd..

  3. Korean netizens are assholes. They judge actors and actresses over boredom from sitting in front of their TV's and computers. They're just jealous.

  4. Korean actors and actress still dont know how to controll their fans . Everyone life is so beautiful and so personal to , only like their acting skills not personal life .

  5. KYJ is the only actress i love to watch. She is unique She is not just so beautiful but highly intelligent and kind❤

  6. At this point Kim So Hyun is the only one left in their generation that's still surviving or active…. I remember these girls were everywhere in their teens~ It's so harsh… Edit: Jin Ji-Hee seems to be doing good as well~

  9. Yoo Jung has been my favourite actor eversince she was a child actor to full grown beautiful young lady. Besides her amazing talent ,she is a natural beauty with a sweet face that is so captivating. Fighting !Yoo Jung❤

  10. I said in a different comment she has a sorry a*** mama. She has been use as a cash cow. She is beautiful and I feel sorry for her

  11. Kim Soo Yun is such a creep… Sorry… I never liked him and I know it shows. Has nothing to do with what we learned this year about him. Couldn't stand him from the second I first saw him. This whole segment 3:28 is terrible

  12. Something I hate about Asian cinema, Korean and Japanese, is the way they use kids and teenagers in films for adults. It makes me feel angry and uncomfortable.

  13. I also have hypothyroidism, and not having it causes lots of things, such as irregular periods, heartburn, fatigue, weight gain, etc. I didn’t have mine for a while ( I forgot) and my doctor said if I don’t have it soon I could die at any moment. But to deal with it is actually very easy. All you need to do is take thyroxine and ur good 😊

  14. I've been a fan of her since 2015.. and I genuinely hoping for her happiness and success for the future. I just love, adore, and respect her so much✨ Can't wait for her comeback soon, Dear X !! ₍₍◞( •௰• )◟₎₎
