蝸牛くも（代表作『ゴブリンスレイヤー』著）とso-bin（代表作『オーバーロード』イラスト）がタッグを組み、名作RPG『Wizardry』の世界で繰り広げられる本格ダークファンタジー小説『ブレイド&バスタード』。

Kumo Kagyu (“Goblin Slayer”) and so-bin (“Overlord”) teamed up and created “Blade & Bastard,”an authentic dark fantasy novel that unfolds in the world of the classic RPG “Wizardry”.

◆あらすじ
誰も足を踏み入れたことのない《迷宮》 の奥で発見された、あるはずのない冒険者の死体――蘇生されたものの記憶を失った男イアルマスは、単独で《迷宮》 に潜っては冒険者の死体を回収する日々を送っていた。

《蘇生》（カドルト）が成功しようが失敗して灰となろうが、頓着せず対価を求める姿を蔑みつつも一目置く冒険者たち。そんな彼の灰塗れの日常は、壊滅した徒党の唯一の生き残り「残飯」（ガ―ベイジ）と呼ばれる少女剣士との出会いを機に動き始める！　

Deep within an unexplored dungeon, a corpse is found—an adventurer who should not have been there. Revived but left with no memories, the man named Iarumus spends his days diving solo into the dungeon, retrieving the bodies of fallen adventurers. Whether the KADORTO resurrection succeeds or the body crumbles to ash, he shows no emotion—only demanding his due. Though some scorn him for it, fellow adventurers can’t help but respect his resolve.
One day, he crosses paths with a girl who has a blade in her hand —the sole survivor of a wiped-out party who is “garbage”—and that’s when his bleak, ash-stained routine begins to change!

  6. I was NOT expecting this to be animated! Wizardry is a very niche but legendary RPG series that's part of rhe trinity of old RPGs; Rogue, Ultima, and Wizardry itself. This is WILD!

  16. wizardryが面白かったっていうのは昔の遊びなんだよな、時代錯誤極まりない。昔の制作者も本気でハードファンタジー描きたかったらデモンズソウル作ってると思うゾ
