野村周平が主演の「カーズ」実写ドラマ全編公開

　俳優の野村周平さんが主演する、ディズニー／ピクサーの劇場版アニメ「カーズ／クロスロード」（ブライアン・フィー監督、15日公開）のストーリーになぞらえた実写版ミニドラマ「ランナーズ／クロスロード」の全編映像が7月14日、公開された。

　「カーズ／クロスロード」は、“クルマの世界”を舞台にしたアクションアドベンチャー。これまで華々しく活躍してきた天才レーサー、ライトニング・マックィーンが、最新テクノロジーを追求したストームなど新世代レーサーたちとの激闘の末にクラッシュしてしまい、人生の岐路に立たされる姿を描いている。

　実写版ミニドラマは、同アニメになぞらえた日本オリジナル作品。野村さん演じる陸上競技に全てを懸けるランナー・幕井雷斗（まくい・らいと）の前に才能あふれる1年生・ツトムが現れ、激しい競争の中、幕井は競技中に転倒してしまう。夢の続きを追うか、新たな道を進むか、幕井は人生の岐路に立たされる……というストーリー。マックィーンの親友・メーターをイメージさせる幕井の友人や、マックィーンの相棒・クルーズをイメージさせる陸上部のマネジャーの来栖らも登場する。

Release of live-action drama “Cars” full-length episode, starring Shuhei Nomura

Full-length episode of the live-action mini drama “Runners / Crossroads”, which is pattened after the story of movie version “Cars/Crossroad” of Disney/Pixar (directed by Brian Fee, released on 15th), starring actor Shohei Nomura, was released on 14th July.

The live-action mini drama is an original Japanese work that is patterned after the same animation. A talented first-year-student Tsutomu appears before the runner Makui Raito (played by Nomura) who risks everything in the athletics, and Makui falls over during the intense competition.

The story is: Makui is standing at a crossroads of life whether to follow the dream, or to proceed a new path
