I don’t really stan newly debuted kpop groups. But watching the ep with Sua of Billie vs Seonyou of Class:y made me raise my brows, especially for the latter. Tbh, regarding Sua’s performance, at the start, I didn’t feel the song’s emotions. So I was kinda disappointed ‘cause while she’s singing—as an ARMY since 2014—I can’t help but compare how Bangtan sang it. Thinking that she should pour more emotions into her singing. Therefore, I suppose it was a relief when in the middle part she finally expressed the song’s emotions. On the one hand, as both of them are competing with each other, I can’t help but be amazed at Seonyou. Just from the first few lines of the song, she managed to hook me in. I suppose despite being young and only debuting for a few months with no years of training experience, I can say that she could be a monster on stage in the future. In fact, while watching, I can’t stop the thoughts of looking forward to her future performances especially as she garners more experience. I feel like she’s a diamond in the making. Anyway, I’m not devaluing Sua in any way. I’m sure that she knows her weakness as mentioned in the ep and will do her best to show a better version of herself. Through time, and with her type of voice, I feel that as she managed to work with her showing the emotions of a song, she’ll be successful too.
