Yep, its hard not to root for her after watching her on IY2 and after seeing some of the crap she has put up with from anti-fans regarding her attractiveness. She may not be a glamazon like Yoona or Yuri, but she is still a very pretty young woman with a great sense of humor, and clearly want to be a good wife and mom one day. I hope she and the Younique sub-unit get a chance to do more together as that seemed like a great fit for her and something she would find fun.
SM sent her to China for a while with one of the other girls to learn Chinese. I would assume it to be Mandarin Chinese as the other dialects are shrinking in prominence. While some of the PRC government's policies have been awful. It was probably wise to standardize on all kids being taught Mandarin as it makes commerce far easier if Someone from Hong Kong can understand someone from Shanghai or Beijing more easily and vice versa. Taiwan uses mostly Mandarin as well.
