Goblin Episode 16:
Grim Reaper was sitting with his co-worker (Junior Grim Reaper) at a bus stop holding cards of souls to collect. When Junior is called away by cell phone Ji Eun-tak stops with her car greets and waved at Grim Reaper and he replies in same manner. When she drove away Junior return and said to him that things have changed and then their cards became blank. Junior ask Grim Reaper why it would change and then it dawns upon him that it is because of Ji Eun-tak. A soul without a name. He replies “Because of a death that comes without a name card, a death that cannot be predicted, a sacrifice”. His Friend Ji Eun-tak would become a sacrifice. While waiting at the robot to turn green, Ji Eun-tak cell phone rings and Goblin starts to enquire about her whereabouts. The robot turned green and she drove away. A Truck on a Steep road suddenly became moveable. Ji Eun-tak see the truck’s trajectory and it pointed straight to a daycare bus. Then and there she had to make a decision. If she dodge the truck, the daycare bus occupants would be in danger and if not, she would then be the one. Questioning herself she came to a halt right across the truck. Within seconds the truck crashed into her car leaving her no time to ask goblin for help or getting out of the car to save herself. With tears on her face she came to the understandig that the day just went too perfectly for her, leading her to this very moment, she cannot escape from. Goblin became worried of Ji Eun-tak since she was not answering him anymore on the phone. Before closing her eyes for the very last moment she thought of Goblin and died. Grim Reaper and Junior look from atop a building at the accident scene while Grim Reaper discusses the impact of her sacrifice. With that said in mind Junior blank card suddenly became written with words, spelling Ji Eun-tak name, age and what type of misfortune she would die off. Grim Reaper suddenly became heart broken and tears start rolling down his face, showing emotion, something unbeknown to their kind. Grim Reaper stood by Ji Eun-tak soul, confirming her credentials to which she, freely, nod too.

✅STORY/PLOT:
Kim Shin started his life as a general in the Goryeo era serving under King Wang Yeo. Jealousy, which was instigated by the royal advisor, Park Joong-heon, caused King Wang Yeo to turn on Kim Shin. Kim Shin’s sister, Kim Sun, was married to the king, deciding not to align herself with the king, was declared a traitors sister, punishable by death also.
Sun’s last request of her brother was that he keep going toward the king. This, however, lead to his demise as well as hers. He was killed and left to rot in a field of buckwheat. Kim Shin was resurrected into an immortal being, called a Goblin. Being cursed, he learned that the only way to break free and move on would be to find his destined bride, Ji Eun Tak.
